Let's get started - here's the story…

When I left the military, I wanted a more independent lifestyle. I tried working for several companies, but was always looking for a way to be my own boss with time and location independence.

Starting off on setting up my own business required some thought and prioritization. I actually created a list of action items to step thru I can share if you need it.

Since I'd been writing reports, emails, presentations and speeches for years in my military career, I thought the easiest way to get started might be copywriting.

I signed up with American Writers and Artists Inc (AWAI) and quickly came to love hearing their training, learning from their team, getting their mentoring and feedback.

Settling in to writing case studies and white papers for technology clients, I found that businesses are very needy! They need lots of help and if you quickly show that you are reliable in producing and submitting work, they ask you to do more! That could be writing, graphics, social media, art for events, and much more.

The questions went like this...

  • Can you create some graphics we can use to go with that?

  • Can you post that on our website?

  • Can you help us get that white paper found in Google Search?

  • We sell products, can you create an online store for us?

  • What type of marketing should we be doing?

  • Could you write that ad for us?

  • Can you create a social media post and campaign about this topic?

    and, on & on ....

Of course, that means lots of research, more training courses, expanding knowledge and an ever expanding network of people, companies, programs, etc.

It's great, but a little overwhelming and after a while very tiring.

So - that's when it's time to go back to what you love doing the most and not try to do everything.

I went back to doing the technology stuff supporting other tech businesses, writers, artists, photographers, and graphic designers. Setting up websites, sales pages, online stores, and search engine optimization … All the tech - so you can sell what you create and be found online.

And that’s what I want to do with this newsletter. Help more than just a few clients at a time.

Each newsletter will have a little training, sometimes a tip, a recommendation for a program which might save you time and money, a story, news and other relevant information that will help you start and grow your business online.

So, please reply to this newsletter and let me know your tech questions, problems and roadblocks. If I don’t have the answer or an idea - I’ll look it up and get back to you.

There will be written information, some video’s, some photo’s, and probably some travel information. I’ve been doing this work from everywhere and anywhere in a motorhome for over 20 years!

I’ll make you a few offers to connect with me directly for training, coaching and suggesting some programs I use and love - with which I’m an affiliate.
